Scaling and Root Planing

The removal of plaque and tarter off of the enamel and root surfaces of the teeth. This is important for optimal gum health and preventing periodontal disease (breakdown of supporting bone and ligament).

Professional Chairside Whitening

A simple in-office effective whitening system which uses a combination of blue LED light and all natural whitening gel. The main whitening ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide as well as organic plant and mineral based products which whitens as well if not better than other whitening systems but without the level of sensitivity and side effects that other whiteners can deliver.

Polishes

We use a gentle fluoride-based fine grit polish to reduce stain and plaque retention while giving your teeth the smooth finish feeling.

Fluoride Varnish

Easy-to-apply fluoride varnish is painted on teeth at the end of the hygiene appointment. It is very beneficial as we do not have fluoride in the water in Sault Ste. Marie which puts us at a higher risk of cavities. Painting on a fluoride varnish every 6 months to harden enamel is crucial to reduce the risk of future decay.

Referral to Dentist

We work with other health care professionals to make sure all of your dental needs are being met. We can refer you to local dentists, orthodontists, and periodontists should you have any dental concerns such as cavities, periodontal disease or orthodontic needs.
